§ Mr. Lathamasked the Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs whether he will make a statement on the recent visit to Israel by the permament under-secretary of state, Sir Antony Acland.
§ Mr. LuceThe permanent under-secretary of state of the Foreign and Commonwealth Office visited Israel from 19–24 March. He held talks with the Director-General of the Israeli Foreign Ministry on the Middle East and other international issues. He also called on the Israeli Deputy Prime Minister and the Minister of Defence and met a group of Palestinians from the occupied territories.
