§ The Prime MinisterIn the course of their studies of local government finance, my right hon. Friend the Secretary of State for the Environment and his colleagues are examining afresh, amongst other things, the question of how in the new system local revenues might best be raised. The Government will make a statement in due course as a preliminary to wide consultation.
