§ The Prime MinisterThe figures are shown in the table attached. The total amount provided in 1983–84 represents a cash increase of 20.5 per cent. (in real terms 14.5 per cent.) on the level of grant-giving in the previous year. In the period between 1979–80 and 1983–84 the level of Government grant-giving to voluntary bodies has risen by over 95 per cent. (or in real terms 35 per cent.)
