§ Mr. Goldingasked the Secretary of State for the Home Department what steps he is taking to obtain the views of users of betting shops on his consultation document, "Possible Changes in the Law Affecting Betting Shops."
§ Mr. Giles ShawWe have distributed about 550 copies of the consultation document to about 100 interested parties since its publication on 28 February, and, in order to obtain the views of users of betting shops we have publicised the issue of the consultation document stressing our interest in receiving comments from all quarters. The consultation document is available on request from the Home Office and some of the views already received appear to have come from users of betting shops.
