§ 56. Mr. Denis Howellasked the Secretary of State for the Environment what recent discussions he has held with the British Olympic Association about a bid to hold a future Olympic Games in the United Kingdom; and what financial commitment will be made by the Government in support of any such bid.
§ Mr. MacfarlaneI asked officers of the British Olympic Association for their assessment of the likelihood of staging the games in this country between now and the end of the century. I have made no offer of financial resources.
