§ Mr. Ron Daviesasked the Chancellor of the Exchequer what is the average mortgage interest tax relief per owner-occupier by county in Wales.
§ Mr. Moore[pursuant to his reply, 29 March 1985, c. 373]: I regret that information is not available from which to provide sufficiently reliable estimates for each Welsh county. However, for the whole of Wales in 1982–83, the latest year for which information is available, the amount of tax relief on mortgage interest averaged over all owner-occupiers (with and without mortgages) resident in Wales would have amounted to about £130.
