§ Mr. Jannerasked the Parliamentary Under-Secretary of State answering in respect of the Arts whether the Minister for the Arts will now appoint a departmental equal opportunities officer with responsibility for co-ordinating the Civil Service policy of non-discrimination within his Department.
§ Mr. WaldegraveThe Cabinet Office provides the Office of Arts and Libraries with personnel services and an officer within the Personnel Division of the Cabinet Office has been designated as Equal Opportunities Officer with responsibility for advising on the full scope of equal opportunity matters as they concern race and sex discrimination.
