§ Mr. Irvingasked the Secretary of State for the Home Department what administrative arrangements are being made for the distribution of leaflets to all victims of crime, who have suffered injury, informing them of the compensation powers of the courts; and whether he has any plans to supplement these arrangements with publicity material to be displayed in such places as hospitals, surgeries and advice centres.
§ Mr. MellorThe text of the proposed leaflet and the arrangements for distribution have yet to be settled, but we hope it will be possible for the police to hand copies to victims of crime. My right hon. and learned Friend has no present plans for further publicity material, but this will be considered.
