§ Mr. John Stradling ThomasA number of higher education institutions in Wales have submitted bids for support under the programme to increase the output of engineering and technology graduates. An announcement about which bids have been approved for the first phase of the programme to begin in 1985–86 will be made shortly. It is not yet known how many of the bids submitted by Welsh institutions will eventually be accepted.
