§ Mr. Tom KingFollowing my predecessor's announcement on 21 July 1983, at column 214, about the repeal of the Truck Acts, I am today issuing for consultation proposals for changes in the legislation on the payment of wages, including new protections against deductions from wages, which will be introduced when the parliamentary timetable permits. Copies of the proposals have been placed in the Library.
