§ Mr. Giles ShawI understand from the Commissioner of Police of the Metropolis that at the end of August, the latest date for which collated information is available, there were 806 neighbourhood watch schemes operating within the Metropolitan police district. The Commissioner expects more than 1,000 schemes to be operating by the end of 1985.
