§ Mr. Montgomeryasked the Secretary of State for Transport what is the policy of Her Majesty's Government towards the use of Manchester international airport as a destination for new frequencies to be flown by United States airlines from the United States of America and towards applications by US airlines to fly between a United States airport and Manchester.
§ Mr. RidleyThe responsibility for identifying new United Kingdom gateways for US-originating air services rests with the United States Government. They have made no such proposals in relation to Manchester. If they do I will consider them.
