§ Mr. Nicholas Wintertonasked the Secretary of State for the Home Department whether he has any plans to amend existing guidance to chief constables to allow them to pass information to local social services authorities on the criminal record of existing and prospective proprietors and employees of residential establishments requiring registration under the Registered Homes Act 1984.
§ Mr. Giles ShawWe have no immediate plans to make such a change, but my right hon. and learned Friend is willing to consider any evidence which would suggest that a departure from existing policy would be justified.
