Mr. Stuart Holland

asked the Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs whether, during his recent visit to Belize, the Minister of State discussed with Government officials either the future of British troops there or Guatemala's outstanding territorial claim against Britain.

My right hon. Friend the Minister for Overseas Development visited Belize to familiarise himself with the development needs of that country and to inspect United Kingdom-financed development projects already in progress. His discussions with officials of the Belizean Government were confined to these topics.
