HC Deb 30 October 1984 vol 65 c966W
Mr. Grylls

asked the Secretary of State for Social Services what contribution the United Kingdom has made to the World Health Organisation's rational use of drugs conference to be held in 1985; and how this compares with contributions from other countries.

Mr. John Patten

[pursuant to his reply, 29 October 1984]: The United Kingdom has agreed to meet in full the World Health Organisation's request for a contribution of US$50,000 towards the cost of this conference. WHO has requested contributions from those developed nations who voted in favour of the conference on a scale from. US $5,000–75,000. We are not yet aware of contributions of other countries.
