§ Mr. Andrew Bowdenasked the Secretary of State for Social Services whether he has any plans to extend the promotion of the submission of claims for supplementary benefit by means of postal claim forms.
§ Mr. NewtonFollowing the introduction of the postal claim form for unemployed claimants, a pilot study was carried out earlier this year to test two new forms to take claims from all other supplementary benefit claimants. No decisions have yet been taken on the basis of this study but in considering it, we will take into account the special needs of these claimants.
