HC Deb 30 October 1984 vol 65 cc953-4W
Mr. Tom Cox

asked the Secretary of State for Social Services if any survey is being made to determine the effects on women who in the past have used the South London hospital for women for medical treatment, of the closure of the hospital; and what other local hospitals are providing services similar to those which were available at the South London hospital.

Mr. Kenneth Clarke

I understand that the Wandsworth health authority is monitoring the effects of the closure in July of the South London hospital for women, although this will take some time to evaluate. Services formerly available at the South London hospital have been transferred to St. George's and St. James' hospitals.
