§ Mr. Tony Banksasked the Secretary of State for the Home Department if he will discuss with the Metropolitan Police Commissioner the propriety of a meeting of the Metropolitan Police neighbourhood watch scheme to be held on 6 November in the offices of the Putney Conservative Association.
§ Mr. Giles ShawNo. I understand that the meeting has been arranged by local residents interested in setting up a neighbourhood watch scheme and that they have chosen the hall because it is conveniently situated within the proposed watch area. But the meeting is open to all and is not being held under the auspices of the Putney Conservative Association.
