§ Mr. Parryasked the Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs whether the Hong Kong Government inform Her Majesty's Government of the size and location of the assets of the Hong Kong exchange fund.
§ Mr. LuceThe Hong Kong Government send copies of the exchange fund reports and accounts to my right hon. and learned Friend. These papers show inter alia how the funds are invested and in which currencies these investments are denominated.
In common with many other Governments, however, the Hong Kong Government do not make public this sensitive information.
