In Mersey region, Clatterbridge hospital provides services across the region for radiotherapy and is acquiring two new linear accelerators and additional radiotherapy staff. Cancer patients are not treated solely at radiotherapy centres and Mersey region's cancer working party is considering the best ways of co-ordinating services for patients in each district general hospital.
