§ Mr. ChannonIn addition to the member states of the European Community, the protocol is applied by Iraq, Barbados, the Holy See, Egypt, Yugoslavia and Portugal; and, until 11 August 1985, the United States of America.
In 1983 in the United Kingdom, 29 applications for duty relief were received, covering some 11,500 articles valued at approximately £724,000.
