§ Mr. Patrick JenkinInformation in the form requested is not available. Based on the latest returns from local authorities we estimate that total net capital expenditure by local authorities in England in 1984–85 may be somewhere in the range £2,650 million to £3,500 million. This is on the same basis as table 2.18 of Cmnd 9143 and therefore includes expenditure which scores against several cash limits (DOE/LA1, DOE/UA1 and HO/LA1).
