asked the Secretary of State for Trade and Industry if he will list the reports of the Monopolies and Mergers Commission received since May 1979 indicating those which have given rise to action by Her Majesty's Government.

The reports of the commission received since May 1979 are listed as follows. An asterisk indicates which have given rise to action by the Government.

The Government have no power to take action on a report where the commission concludes that none of the matters investigated operates, or may be expected to operate, against the public interest.
