Mr. Tony Banks

asked the Secretary of State for the Environment what proportion of its budget the London Docklands Development Corporation plans to spend on health and welfare needs in docklands.

During the current financial year, the LDDC forecasts expenditure of some £2.75 million on projects in the community and voluntary sector. This represents about 5 per cent. of the corporation's total funding.

Over the next three years, a total of £4.6 million is earmarked to be spent on the community and voluntary sector projects, including £125,000 on health facilities.
