§ Sir George Young[pursuant to his answer 25 October 1984]: The GLC received the highest housing investment programme allocation in 1984–85 (£85 million), but this was mainly in respect of renovation and repair work which the GLC is obiged to carry out to housing stock already transferred to the London boroughs.
