asked the Secretary of State for Trade and Industry if he will make a full statement on the cash deficit of the Export Credits Guarantee Department.

Details of the Exports Credits Guarantee Department's cash deficit with the Consolidated Fund appeared in the "ECGD Trading Results 1983/84" published on 7 August 1984. The deficit as at 30 September was £280 million.
