§ Mr. Prescottasked the Secretary of State for Trade and Industry if the channel centre frequencies assigned to the Bus and Coach Council confirmed in the letter of 12 September from the Directorate of Radio Technology to the Bus and Coach Council will enable operators to purchase new equipment in good time for a smooth and painless transfer to band III.
§ Mr. Pattie[pursuant to the reply, 25 October 1984, c. 657]: The arrangements envisaged in band III for the bus and coach operators were set out in a subsequent letter from the Department dated 15 October identifying the sub-band within which all their channel assignments would be made. As equipment will be capable of operating over a 5 MHz range, they can now place orders and plan the transfer of their service.
