asked the Secretary of State for the Home Department how many persons were refused entry into the United Kingdom on the grounds of mental disorder in each of the last three available years.

Mr. Waddington

The numbers of persons refused leave to enter the United Kingdom on the grounds of mental disorder, as recommended by the port medical inspector, were 124 in 1981, 126 in 1982 and 129 in 1983.
