§ Mr. BrookeThe Government urge the closest possible contact between polytechnics and employers in part to ensure that the courses offered are relevant to employers' needs. Employers should be aware that polytechnic students' degrees are awarded by the Council for National Academic Awards whose charter requires their degrees to be comparable with those of universities.
