Mr. Frank Field

asked the Secretary of State for Social Services if he will provide the information which is available for Wirral, West, Wirral, South and Wallasey on the results of the 1983 Merseyside county council's take-up campaign in the manner of the answer given to the hon. Member for Birkenhead on 15 May, Official Report, columns 141–142.

Mr. Newton

The only offices of the Department serving Wirral, West and Wirral, South which were involved in the 1983 Merseyside county council take-up campaign are Birkenhead, North and Birkenhead, South. Information for these offices was given by my hon. Friend the Member for Brent, North (Dr. Boyson) in his reply to the hon. Member on 15 May at columns141–142.
