How many staff there are in the Disablement Advisory Service visiting companies, how they are allocated, and how many companies they visit each year.
The Minister of State, Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food (Lord Bclstead)The Disablement Advisory Service comprises approximaely 165 staff in 62 locally-based teams. The service was introduced during 1983–84 and has been fully operational throughout the country since February 1984. During the 3 months ending 8th June 1984—the first statistical quarter for which national figures are available—2,168 employers were contacted, involving 4,240 actual visits.
