asked the Secretary of State for Defence if he has received the annual report of the Dartmoor steering group for 1983.

Yes. A copy of the report has today been placed in the Library. The steering group continues to provide a most useful forum for the discussion of contentious issues relating to the military use of Dartmoor, and my right hon. Friend the Secretary of State for the Environment and I are glad of this opportunity to thank the steering group for its efforts to reconcile the various conflicting interests.
