asked the Secretary of State for Wales if he will detail the manner in which each of the health authorities in Wales has made savings necessary to meet the 20 per cent. of the annual bill for 1984–85 of the nurses' pay increase, to be provided by individual authorities.

This is a matter for the health authorities themselves, who are developing substantial programmes to improve their efficiency.
