Rev. William McCrea

asked the Secretary of State for Northern Ireland how many people under the age of 20 years in (a) Mid-Ulster and (b) Northern Ireland have never had (i) full-time employment and (ii) part-time employment.

Dr. Boyson

On 13 September 1984 the number of persons under 20 years of age claiming benefit who have never had employment was 888 in Mid-Ulster and 14,222 in Northern Ireland.
