§ Rev. William McCreaasked the Secretary of State for Defence if he will list the number of the Ulster Defence Regiment bases which have been closed during the last five years.
§ Mr. LeeSince 1 October 1979 11 UDR bases have been closed. The closures have been effected to make the best use of manpower resources by releasing soldiers previously engaged in static guarding and administrative duties for operational tasks.
