HC Deb 22 October 1984 vol 65 c461W
Sir John Biggs-Davison

asked the Secretary of State for Northern Ireland if he will make a statement about the Royal Ulster Constabulary training centre.

Mr. Scott

The police authority has sought the approval of my right hon. Friend the Secretary of State to an expansion of police training facilities. Ministers have agreed in principle that the existing facilities are inadequate for the long-term needs of the force. A number of possible options for providing the necessary facilities are currently being examined. No final decisions have been made on the range of facilities to be provided or their location and no decision has therefore been made on the future of the training centre at Enniskillen.
