asked the Parliamentary Under-Secretary of State answering in respect of the Arts if he will make a statement on the future relationship between the museums and galleries and the Property Services Agency.

In its response to the Education Science and Arts Select Committee Report "Public and Private Funding of the Arts", the Government accepted the recommendation that the PSA's relationship with the national museums and galleries should be reviewed. A range of possible changes is under examination. There will be further consultations with the PSA and the museums and galleries, and a statement will be made when the review has been completed.
