HC Deb 22 October 1984 vol 65 cc451-2W
Rev. William McCrea

asked the Secretary of State for Northern Ireland how many applications for mobility allowance have been accepted in Northern Ireland during the past 12 months; how many were rejected; and what are the primary reasons for such rejections.

Mr. Chris Patten

During the 12 months ended 10 August 1984 there were 1,891 awards and 2,087 disallowances. The main reasons for the disallowances were failure to satisfy the conditions relating to health or age.
