§ Mr. Sternasked the Secretary of State for Education and Science if he will make a statement about the recommendations of the Advisory Committee on the Supply and Eduation of Teachers to withdraw the mandatory requirement for a specialist qualification to teach hearing-impaired children.
§ Mr. Dunn;My right hon. Friends the Secretary of State and the Secretary of State for Wales have sought the views of more than a hundred bodies on the ACSET report. The replies are being analysed and my right hon. Friends hope to make a statement in due course.
