§ Mr. Mark Carlisleasked the Secretary of State for the Home Department what action he is now taking to consult 604W those involved in the criminal justice system on the proposal to provide a power to suspend a sentence of youth custody.
§ Mr. MellorIn September the Department wrote to a number of interested bodies seeking their views on the suggestion that the sentence of youth custody should be capable of being suspended in whole or in part. My right hon. and learned Friend is currently considering the comments that have been received.
