HC Deb 30 November 1984 vol 68 c606W
Mr. Dobson

asked the Chancellor of the Exchequer what is the estimated loss to the economy of the death of a married woman with two children, her age at death being in the ranges 20 to 30 years, 31 to 40 years, 41 to 50 years and 51 to 60 years, respectively.

Mr. Moore

The losses to the economy arising from the death of a married woman with children depend upon what her future net earnings would have been, and upon the costs of replacing the services which she would have provided to her family. These would both depend upon the circumstances of the particular family.
