§ Mr. Murphyasked the Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs what representations he has received regarding Government support for the World bank's sub-Saharan Africa programme.
§ Mr. RaisonI have received representations from Members of Parliament and members of the public. Contrary to the impression they may have received, the recent World Bank report on sub-Saharan Africa contained no specific proposals for a US․2 billion World Bank special fund. Her Majesty's Government will look carefully at any proposals by the World Bank on what action should be taken on the report.
