§ Mr. Cartwrightasked the Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food when he plans to introduce statutory regulations based on the Farm Animal Welfare Council's codes of practice.
§ Mrs. FennerI understand that the Farm Animal Welfare Council is currently reviewing the welfare codes which Parliament has approved and will then advise Ministers on whether in their view any of the codes' recommendations might more appropriately be made statutory. We must await the council's report.
