HC Deb 28 November 1984 vol 68 c502W
Mr. John David Taylor

asked the Secretary of State for Northern Ireland what is the number of warrants for extradition, in connection with terrorist offences, which have been issued to the authorities in the Republic of Ireland by the Royal Ulster Constabulary for which the person named therein has not yet been extradited.

Mr. Scott

Since 1971, 123 arrest warrants in connection with terrorist offences have been sent by the Royal Ulster Constabulary to the Garda Siochana in respect of 88 persons who have not been extradited. A number of these warrants have been refused by the courts and some are no longer extant, but 37 warrants are currently with the Irish authorities for execution in relation to three individuals in custody.
