§ Mr. Kenneth BakerWe hope to be able to announce details of the 1985–86 rate support grant settlement as usual in mid-December but I cannot be more precise at this stage. I anticipate that there will be a meeting of the consultative council on local government finance on the day that my right hon. Friend makes his statement to the House; officials are consulting the local authority associations about the arrangements.
