§ Mr. NewtonThe review teams are assessing the evidence they have received and are aiming to conclude their work by the end of this year. We shall then draw the results together with a view to publishing our conclusions and proposals in the early part of next year.
§ 43. Mr. Sayeedasked the Secretary of State for Social Services whether he has finished taking oral and written evidence on the social security reviews.
§ Mr. NewtonIt is assumed that all those intending to submit written evidence to the reviews have now done so. Nineteen public sessions have been held at which oral evidence was heard, and no other such sessions are planned.
§ 38. Mr. Lewis Stevensasked the Secretary of State for Social Services, when he expects to publish his conclusions on the reviews of social security.
§ Mr. NewtonConclusions, and proposals for changes arising from the review, are expected to be published in the early part of 1985.
