§ Mr. Andersonasked the Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs whether he will veto any decision by the Council of Ministers that the European Economic Community as an organisation should sign the Law of the Sea Convention before the deadline on 9 December.
§ Mr. RifkindI refer the hon. Member to the reply which my right hon. and learned Friend gave on 9 November, at column 41–42, to my hon. Friend the Member for Bedfordshire, North (Mr. Skeet). We have as yet taken no final decision on signature of the convention. We remain in touch with other members of the Community on this matter.
