HC Deb 27 November 1984 vol 68 c466W
56. Mr. Sheerman

asked the Secretary of State for Social Services which three area health authorities have the longest waiting lists for (i) ear, nose and throat and (ii) orthodontic treatment.

Mr. John Patten

Information is available centrally only on inpatient waiting lists and this is given in the table. About half of all admissions to hospital are immediate, and many of those on waiting lists already have a planned date of admission. Only seven district health authorities have inpatient waiting lists for orthodontics.
