Mr. Tony Banks

asked the Secretary of State for Education and Science what is the total expenditure on adult education in each of the outer London boroughs: and what this represents in terms of expenditure per head of the population in those boroughs.

Separate information about expenditure on adult education is only available for adult education centres. The net recurrent expenditure on adult education centres in 1982–83, the latest year for which firm figures are available, as returned by each outer London borough, and that expenditure expressed as expenditure per head of the 18+ population is set out below.
