§ Mr. RentonOur supported award schemes provided scholarships for higher education studies in the United Kingdom to 44 Mauritian students in 1982–83, 56 in 1983–84 and 80 in 1984–85. It is not possible to state the number expected in the next two years, but the special circumstances of Mauritius are well recognised and every effort is being made to provide assistance to enable Mauritian students to come to the United Kingdom for higher education studies.
